Match rules
Scope
These rules apply to the 6Humanos queues and matches (Rocket League), on the site and on the Discord server. They complement the community rules.
Joining a queue means you accept these rules. Breaking them can be sanctioned at the staff’s discretion.
Definitions
- Queue: where you wait until the match fills up (6 players in 3v3, 4 in 2v2).
- Match: what is created when the queue fills, with its game lobby and its voice and text channels.
- Check-in: confirming you are ready to play once the match is created.
- Sub: the player who comes in for someone who left the match.
- Staff: the 6Humanos moderators and admins.
- Ticket: a formal report in #soporte with the match number and evidence.
Queues and pings
- You can be in several queues at once and join or leave each one whenever you want.
- Do not keep joining and leaving a queue to trigger notifications.
- The system pings the queue role when players are needed (at most once every 30 minutes per queue). Do not mention the role yourself: mention abuse is sanctioned.
- After 65 minutes in queue without activity we warn you on the site and by Discord message; if you do not confirm within 5 minutes, you leave the queues. Leaving for inactivity has no penalty.
Check-in and teams
- When the queue fills you have 7 minutes to check in. The timer is automatic and starts the moment the queue is full.
- If someone does not check in, whoever has waited longest in that queue comes in and has 2 minutes to do it. If they don't make it, they leave with no penalty and the next in the queue comes in. If nobody is left, the match is cancelled with no MMR changes and those who checked in go back to the front of the queue.
- Whoever does not check in loses 10 MMR and is suspended from the queues: 30 minutes the first time, 2 hours the second and 24 hours the third. The record clears after 14 days.
- Teams are formed with the mode you vote for: balanced, captains or random. You have 60 seconds to vote, and ties are drawn at random. With captains, each pick has 60 seconds.
Voice and communication
- Every player must be in the match voice channel. Muting yourself on purpose, in Discord or in game, counts as not being there.
- Losing voice because of a technical problem is not sanctioned.
- Muting for a while is not sanctioned, unless it happens in two matches in a row or more: then it is a pattern and it is sanctioned.
- Using soundboards or other noise tools to disrupt the match is forbidden.
In-game conduct
- Harassment, insults, threats, provocations and any toxic behavior during the match are forbidden.
- Stalling on purpose, baiting, scoring own goals to troll or any unsporting behavior is forbidden.
- Cheats, hacks, exploits and unauthorized mods, including external cosmetic ones, are forbidden. Abusing bugs is sanctioned at the staff’s discretion.
- Leaving and rejoining a team to gain a positional advantage is forbidden.
Spectators
- You can spectate a match if both teams allow it and you do not get in the way.
- Spectators may not use the in-game chat to influence the match.
- You can join as a spectator at any time, unless it interferes with the match. Spectators who break this are sanctioned.
Calling the staff
- During the match any player can use “Call the staff” or “Report a problem”: the staff gets the alert with the reason. Each match can call the staff once every 5 minutes.
- Calling the staff does not change the match: it only alerts them.
- Once the match is over, report any problem with a ticket in #soporte, with the match number and evidence.
Disconnections and subs
- If someone disconnects or leaves, anyone in the match can request a sub on the website: invite up to 3 players or tap Find a sub. Each invitation lasts 3 minutes and the first to accept comes in.
- Everyone in the match votes, including the player leaving. More than half voting Yes (4 of 6 in 3v3, 3 of 4 in 2v2) approves it. There are 3 minutes to vote and every vote is final.
- While nobody has accepted to come in, the player leaving can tap I’m staying and the sub is cancelled, even if they already voted. The vote and the invitation run at the same time: the swap happens on its own as soon as both are done.
- Find a sub can be used once per match and starts when the vote is approved: it invites eligible players who played recently. If you don’t want these invitations, turn them off in Settings.
- In tier queues the sub is from the same tier as the player who leaves or a lower one, never a higher one. Example: if a Tier 3 leaves, a Tier 3 or Tier 4 can come in, not a Tier 2. In the Universal queue and in event queues any tier can come in.
- There can be up to 2 subs per match. Each player can request up to 3 and, if one of theirs doesn’t happen, waits 2 minutes to request another. If nobody accepts, the match goes on with no penalties.
- The player leaving gets −10 MMR, 1 hour without queues and a warning. If you accepted to come in and the sub didn’t happen, you go back first in the queue you were in.
- The staff can make a sub directly or revert it. If they revert it, the player who had left comes back to the match and their penalties are undone; the player who had come in leaves with no penalty.
Pauses and restarts
- In-game pauses and restarts are only for keeping the game fair, for example after an obvious technical error.
- Using them to gain a goal or time advantage is sanctioned.
- The staff can step into the match and use admin tools whenever needed to protect it.
Result
- The result is voted starting 3 minutes after the match begins. The result with the majority of votes wins.
- While voting is open you can change or remove your vote.
- If only one team votes and it has a majority, the result confirms itself after 15 minutes.
- If the votes contradict each other with no majority, the match goes into dispute and the staff resolves it. Meanwhile you can go back to the queues.
- A match with no votes cancels itself after 3 hours, with no MMR changes.
- Valid evidence is replays, videos, screenshots and timestamps. Attach as much as you can to the ticket.
- Tampering with evidence is investigated and can make the sanction harsher.
- Voting a false result on purpose is sanctioned, and doing it again is grounds for a permanent ban.
Outside the match
- 6Humanos is not responsible for what users do outside the organized matches.
- Any behavior that harms the trust or safety of the community (threats, extortion, defamation) must be reported to the staff right away.
Sanctions and appeals
- Besides the automatic sanctions in these rules (check-in and subs), the staff decides warnings, queue suspensions and bans based on severity and history.
- Warnings stay on your record and the staff takes them into account in each case.
- To appeal, open a ticket in #soporte with the match number, the reason, the sanction and your evidence. The staff reviews the appeal and gets back to you.
Records and privacy
- The staff keeps moderation logs and evidence (messages, replays, screenshots) to keep things safe and resolve disputes.
- The staff does not disclose users’ private information, except under a court order or imminent danger.
How MMR works
The math
After every match with a result, your MMR goes up if you win and down if you lose. How much depends on how favored your team was.
- Your team’s strength: your MMR counts 60% and your teammates’ average 40%. It is compared with the other team’s average.
- If the teams are even, the match is worth 8: +8 if you win and −8 if you lose.
- Beating a stronger team gives more (up to 16) and losing to a weaker one takes more. Example: if your team has 100 MMR more than the other, a win gives +6 and a loss −10.
Multipliers
- First matches: in your first 10 the change is multiplied by up to ×1.30, easing down to ×1.
- Streaks: with 3, 5 and 8 wins or losses in a row, ×1.10, ×1.15 and ×1.20.
- Events: an event can add its own multiplier while it runs.
- Everything combined stays between ×0.5 and ×1.6.
Limits
- Every match moves your MMR by at least 1 point and at most 30.
- MMR never goes below 0.
- Check-in and sub penalties (−10) are separate from this math.
Universal queue
- It is open to every tier and has its own MMR and leaderboard: everyone starts at 0.
- Always +10 for a win and −10 for a loss, no matter the opponents.
- Teams are random and there are no promotions or demotions.
Tiers
- You move up a tier when your MMR passes your tier’s upper limit (with at least 5 matches) and down if it falls more than 10 points below the lower limit.
- Tier 1 is not reached by MMR: the staff assigns it.
Final clause
Changes and acceptance
The administration reserves the right to change the rules and the privacy policies whenever it deems necessary; updates are announced in the corresponding channel.
Joining the 6Humanos server implies acceptance of the rules and the privacy policies.
